The purpose of this article is to investigate the nature of beauty from the point of view of Western philosophers. The research method is descriptive and analytical,and a library method was used to collect information,and the data collection tool was in the form of scanning books. The results show that according to Plato,beauty is efficiency and usefulness,size and proportion. From the point of view According to Aristotle,the characteristic of the beautiful thing is intrinsic value,being pleasant,being good,being pleasant and pleasant,having internal components in order and similarity,having clarity and clarity,having size and proportion. According to Leibniz,beauty is subjective and comes from contemplation of something pleasant that implies pleasure. From Shaftesbury point of view,beauty is the harmony and proportion in the external world,from Hutcheson's point of view,beauty is not only an objective quality in the external world,but it is the feeling of pleasure and happiness that results from observing an external quality,and it is taste that receives beauty. According to Hume,beauty is the feeling of admiration for the many qualities of a natural or artistic work. From Kant's point of view,the characteristic of the beautiful thing is unquestionable pleasure,general pleasure,being characterized by an aimless or fruitless harmony and profit or the end without an end and obligatory and necessary satisfaction. According to Hegel,artistic beauty is superior to natural beauty,the source of which is the sublime spirit,which is true and inherently all-encompassing,and according to Eliot Eisner,beauty is the existence of a high degree of coherence and harmony in objects.
