The treatise "Lawaih" by Abdur Rahman Jami, a prominent poet and mystic of the 9th century AH, is considered one of the important works in the field of mystical aesthetics of art. "Lawaih" examines the deep and complex concepts of beauty, love, and divine manifestations in the context of Islamic mysticism and attempts to portray the relationship between these concepts in art.
In mystical aesthetics, God is considered the source of beauty in all the realms of existence. The world of the inanimate is a mirror of the world of theology and contains all the reflections of divine light. Poets and mystics, in their works, depict the concept of beauty and its connection with divine beauty. From Jami's perspective, art is a means through which the artist can discover and express the beauties hidden in the world.
He believes that artistic creativity is a spiritual process in which the artist creates works of art inspired by divine love. This article examines the main question: "How does Jami address the mystical aesthetics of art in the treatise "Lawiyh" and what key concepts are used in explaining beauty and art in this treatise?"
The research method in this study includes analyzing the textual content of the treatise "Lawaih" and examining the key concepts of mystical aesthetics from Jami's perspective. This method includes a detailed examination of the texts of the treatise and extracting concepts related to beauty, love, and divine manifestations. Lawaih can be considered as a beautiful artistic and mystical work.
